how to root the my touch 3g?

hello,
i have a my touch 3g with one of the perfect spl (006). has any one here successfully created a goldcard to root that spl?

Try following this thread help with rooting a MT3G 3B - xda-developers different SPL but it might end the same way.

i am having trouble rooting my mt3g. for starters i copied the flashrec file as well as the recovery file but when i go into the linda file the files show no media present???
